The bad news: As much as it pains me to say it, Susurrus Magazine is going on an indefinite hiatus.
Susurrus Press is
still going strong, and that's one of the (myriad) reasons I'm letting the magazine go to the wayside for now.
I've been putting this decision off for a really long time, now, to the point that I've been avoiding looking at the Susurrus inbox for a couple of months now. (Lots of you noticed. Really, really sorry about that.) On that topic: Any submission to which we haven't replied can be assumed rejected on the grounds of we're not going to be putting any issues of this out for a while....
The good news: Print. Neverlands and Otherwheres is a smashing success, and we're (finally) making final decisions regarding Chicago Overcoat. And we're liking it so much (despite the unbelievable amount of work involved) that we've got a couple more ideas in the works.
More good news: The archives will be here, online, indefinitely, and I'm going to make it a pet project to clean them up. I learned (bad) web design by making this site, and there's stuff in the early issues that absolutely drives me nuts when I see it.
